Mrs. Rudi Nicole McLaurin is a native of Richmond, VA by way of Raleigh, NC. She always had a passion for writing, women studies, and literature. Nicole attended Gardner-Webb University, where she studied English, Sociology and American Sign Language and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009. Just three months after graduating, she began working for CDC News in Cary, NC. There she started at entry level and in less than a year, worked her way up to a lead reporter.
While working for CDC News, Nicole became in tune with her passion for writing again, and embraced her skills for editing. She knew her gift was too colossal to keep to herself. The Broad River Review 2010 edition published her poem, “Women of a New Creed.” In 2012, she published her first book, titled The Writings of My Body. Acknowledging the fire she had in her belly, the same year she started her professional writing services small-business. Ever since, she has helped many people, whether young or old, enhance their writing skills and reading comprehension. She has clientele in many states, and is always looking to build. She is currently in the process of obtaining her Masters Degree in Writing Studies. Nicole is married to a Pittsburgh School teacher and the Youth Pastor of Shekinah Faith Temple International Ministries, and they are the parents of 3 children as their family continues to grow. They currently reside in Pittsburgh, PA. |
